YouTube was five years old on Wednesday 14 December. I was interviewed by Evan Davis for The Today Programme on BBC Radio 4 about its cultural impact, and its effects on modern politics.
You can listen to the interview here. See if you can identify all of the clips they used. Interestingly, few if any are YouTube-native; most reference television properties or events that happened outside the Web.
I was very very pleased I was 5.5 hours ahead of GMT, happily situated in a small studio inside the BBC’s Delhi bureau, rather than up at the crack of dawn in snowy London.
