I presented The Biggest Story In The World, the campaign’s 12-episode investigative podcast series. It was a only small part of the paper-wide climate change effort, which served as the final major project of outgoing editor Alan Rusbridger. Keep It In The Ground had a dual purpose: to get real action to keep fossil fuels in the ground, and to tell an old story in a new way.

The Radio Academy Awards – formerly known as “the Sony’s” – are the most prestigious radio awards in the media calendar. I’m beyond delighted, proud and genuinely awestruck to announce that, on 12 May 2014, the Digital Human team won the Silver award for Best Speech Programme 2014. Here’s what the judges said:

The Digital Human, a new Radio 4 series about technology and modern life begins next Monday, and I’m very excited to be presenting it. It will take seven broad themes of modern living – including memory, privacy, serendipity (of course) and faith – to understand how advances in technology have changed our lives.
